BRIDGE partners have successfully collected over 50 questionnaires from professionals working with migrant youth across the participating countries. This phase has provided valuable insights into the daily challenges, training gaps, and emerging needs faced by those supporting young migrants.
We are now moving forward with focus groups involving both professionals and migrant youth to deepen this understanding and ensure that multiple perspectives are heard. Participants shared reflections that reveal the potential and voice of young migrants:
“Radical thoughts can also be a drive to make something better.”
“Don’t think that I’m only here to take something — I also have something to contribute.”
These powerful statements underscore the importance of listening to those directly involved and highlight the energy, ideas, and agency young people bring to the table.
This needs analysis represents a crucial step within the BRIDGE project, combining the quantitative data obtained through questionnaires with qualitative contributions gathered in the focus groups.
The results of this process will not remain theoretical. They will directly inform the development of practical, accessible, and field-oriented training modules, tailored to the realities professionals face every day. By grounding the training in lived experiences and clearly identified gaps, BRIDGE aims to strengthen professionals’ capacity to support migrant youth in a more inclusive, preventive, and empowering way.
This participatory approach ensures that the final training offer is relevant, impactful, and genuinely aligned with the needs of both practitioners and young people.
